Cook

 

  • Prepare, cook, and serve daily hot/cold student and staff lunch, Monday – Friday
  • Shopping for necessary and occasional supplies and food
  • Serve up to three separate lunches per day

  • Friendly, nurturing disposition toward children a must
  • Ability to get along respectfully with students, parents, and staff

Students and staff

  • Occasionally collect and report lunch fees
  • Receive a daily lunch count from each class
  • Collect and be informed about individual student and staff diet restrictions
  • Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen at all times
  • Satisfy health officials and inspector standards for food handling, serving, and waste
  • and trash disposal.
  • Maintain accurate record of grease trap maintenance and disposals in kitchen
  • Hours: usually 3 – 4 hours, more or less daily

Wages negotiable, minimum wages plus

  • Monthly payroll, September – June, depending on attendance and start-up date
  • Develop and submit menu to office in advance for monthly posting and publication
  • Availability and performance, 192 days unless excused
  • Aprons and appropriate head covering

Grounds Keeper (Possibility)

Custodian

 

·        Keep classroom and other school facilities clean, dusted, and organized for serve

·        Duties include trash collection and disposal daily, cleaning of desktops and chairs with solution

·        Keep computer and other technology equipment properly dusted and screens and surfaces clean

·        Maintain kitchen grease trap by emptying and disposing contents appropriately

·        Keep campus grounds and areas around buildings free of paper and other debris

·        Periodically check and organize utility sheds and contents

·        Maintain fresh mops and disinfectant water in scrub buckets

·        Scrub and disinfect toilets, urinals, hand basins or sinks and water fountains daily

·        Keep toilet walls, doors, door frames, windows, and other areas scrubbed, including

      Floor and door and wall moulding in all areas

·        Scrub wood floors at least weekly with soap or wax

·        Floors in all areas to be cleaned daily with broom and or dust mop

·        Carpet in classrooms, offices, hallways to be vacuumed daily

·        Vacuum cleaners to be maintained by emptying or replacing bags regularly and by

·        Keeping exterior of  the equipment clean and free of dirt and built-up dust

·        Properly police floor areas to collect large items prior to vacuuming

·        Regularly scrub down even back and undersides of student chairs and desks with disinfectant water

·        Dispose of exposed or open food items daily; no food allowed on surfaces to attract insects and rodents

·        Check and replace light tubes and bulbs as needed

·        Periodically clean windows and blinds in all buildings

·        Keep locker or cabinet tops dusted at least once per week

·        Keep all painted areas neat and clean and re-touched as necessary

·        Keep all cleaning supplies under lock or above the reach of  students

·        Keep buildings, windows, and sheds securely locked.

·        Avoid rushing through chores to exit early before all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
